The sectors of the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) continue their efforts to address the impacts of the weather condition affecting the Sultanate of Oman, as part of ongoing measures to ensure public safety and maintain essential services.

Meanwhile, the Medical Response and Public Health Sector on Friday announced the suspension of services at a number of health centres until further notice, due to the ongoing weather conditions affecting several governorates across the Sultanate of Oman.

The sector stated that the affected facilities include: Muqniyat Health Centre in Al Dhahirah Governorate, with services redirected to Bilad Al Shahoum Health Centre, Wadi Bani Awf Health Centre in Al Batinah South Governorate, with services redirected to Al Awabi Health Centre and Abu Baqrah Health Centre in Al Batinah North Governorate, with services redirected to Shinas Health Complex.

The sector urged citizens and residents to stay updated on the latest developments before visiting health centres and to adhere to precautionary measures during the current weather conditions.

The Relief and Shelter Sector stated that 257 individuals have been accommodated in 7 active shelters within the approved shelter system, which includes a total of 215 centres, of which 64 are fully equipped.

The committee emphasised continued coordination among relevant sectors to monitor weather developments, urging citizens and residents to adhere to official guidelines issued by authorities to safeguard public safety.
