Muscat: Indian School Ghubra International added yet another golden feather in their cap with 10 Outstanding Achievement Awards in the Cambridge AS and A Level June series Examinations.


In the Cambridge IGCSE Examinations, Vaibhavi Ashok Shetty topped in Oman in Co-Ordinated Sciences (Double Award) and Business Studies, and was also awarded a Best Across Seven accolade. Sarah Mustafa bagged a High Achievement Award in Foreign Language French.


In the Cambridge International AS Level Exams, Simran Kawatra was ranked first in Oman in Chemistry and Mathematics, Chitranggada Siddharth Chaturvedi in Economics and Ishita Sujeet Shetty in Sociology.


Chitranggada Siddharth Chaturvedi achieved the first place in Oman in the Best Across Four category while Simran Kawatra came first in Oman in the Best Across Three category.


ISG Principal Papri Ghosh said that the awards recognised the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and staff. “Once again, the students of ISG-International have emerged with flying colours in the Cambridge examination series. The hard work and diligence of our students and their mentors have borne fruit thus cementing the place of our school as one of the most premier Cambridge institutions in the country,” he said.


Top performing learners will receive their Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards at a school ceremony to be held later. Ahmad Rayees, President, School Management Committee, said: “It is extremely rewarding to congratulate Cambridge learners and teachers at ISG-International who have worked so hard to achieve tremendous success in Cambridge IGCSE / AS Level examinations. The results are a reflection of the enormous talent in Oman, not only amongst learners but also within the teaching profession. Learners from ISG-International have a bright future ahead of them, and I wish them every success in their future.”
