Indian School Muscat gets a new principal

Muscat: Rakesh Joshi has been appointed the new Principal of Indian School Muscat.


Joshi is a triple postgraduate in Mathematics, Business Administration, and Education and has over 30 years of expertise in various capacities as a teacher, Principal, and Academic Director.


An alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla


He began his journey in the field of education in 1992 as a Mathematics Teacher in Navodaya Vidyalaya under the Ministry of Education, India, followed by as the Principal of Army Public School Patiala, Apeejay School Navi Mumbai, and India International School in Japan, Tokyo.


He was the Regional Academic Director of Apeejay Education Society, New Delhi before taking over the reins of Indian School Muscat.


During his academic career, he has spearheaded curriculum design and development, staff training and management, organization and leadership development, and change management and strategic planning for effective school leadership.


CBSE, New Delhi recognized his educational leadership acumen and conferred the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in 2015.


Joshi said, "I am truly honored and privileged to serve as the Principal of ISM. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with the management, dedicated teachers, and supportive parents to foster holistic education and fulfill academic achievements of students."
