Muscat: As part of the comprehensive digital transformation project to facilitate access via electronic services, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will launch new services at COMEX 2023 on Monday.

In 2021, MOH launched today a new mobile application, Shifa, which displays the patient's health data in various health institutions in a smooth and simple way.

It is a special electronic application for an individual that saves all medical information and is a platform for exchanging medical information between the patient and the treating doctor.

The Shifa application aims to provide a personal health record for every citizen and resident through which medical data registered in health institutions is obtained, in addition to providing electronic services between the patient and health institutions. It further offers a platform for exchanging health information and consultations with health service providers.

The application facilitates access to the user's medical information from all government health institutions as it allows the patient to view health records, medical history, dependents, prescriptions, lab investigations, immunization, procedure reports, vital signs, documents, organ donation, in addition to scheduled appointments and referrals among health institutions.
