MUSCAT: The Commercial Department at the Ministry of Information hosted a marketing forum for Oman FM on Tuesday at the Grand Millennium Muscat, bringing together representatives from advertising agencies, media buyers and corporate partners to showcase the station's commercial offerings and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The forum featured a presentation by Talal al Shahri, Director of Specialised Radio Stations, who, together with Oman FM's producers and presenters, outlined the station's programming strategy, highlighted its recent achievements and shared its future plans for expanding audience engagement and strengthening its content.

A key part of the forum was the presentation of Oman FM's audience performance indicators, including listenership, reach and engagement metrics. The data provided advertisers and partners with insights into the station's audience profile and demonstrated the effectiveness of its programming in reaching diverse listener segments.

The event also showcased Oman FM's advertising and sponsorship opportunities, highlighting how organisations can use the station's platforms to deliver targeted communication campaigns and build stronger connections with their audiences.

Dr Fatma al Kalbani, Director of the Commercial Department, said the forum reflects the Ministry of Information's commitment to developing innovative approaches to marketing its media products by creating direct engagement between advertisers and media professionals.

She added that such forums provide an effective platform for exchanging ideas, understanding partners' communication objectives and building long-term strategic relationships that support the continued development and commercial growth of the Ministry's media services.

The forum also served as a practical outcome of the Ministry's training programme for students specialising in marketing, business administration and media. Under the supervision of the Commercial Department, trainees played an active role in planning and delivering the event. Abdulmalik al Habsi, a marketing student at Sultan Qaboos University, presented Oman FM's commercial strengths and partnership opportunities, while media trainees Alwaleed al Mujarfi and Hisham al Abri were responsible for the event's news coverage as part of their practical training.
