

MUSCAT: The renewal of the coordination and cooperation protocol between the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) and the European Union's 'Operation Atalanta' was signed on Monday at the centre.
The renewal of the protocol was signed on behalf of the Maritime Security Centre by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and Chairman of the Maritime Security Committee. Meanwhile, it was signed on behalf of the European Union's 'Operation Atalanta' by Vice Admiral Ignacio Villanueva, Operation Commander of the EU NAVFOR 'Operation Atalanta.'
The signing ceremony was attended by Commodore Abdullah bin Ali al Hajri, Head of the Maritime Security Centre, along with several senior officers from both sides. — ONA
