Oman at meeting of GCC Justice Undersecretaries

RIYADH: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs, participated in the annual meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Ministries of Justice, which was held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.


The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman at the meeting was chaired by Dr Yahya bin Nasser al Khusaibi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs.


The meeting discussed a number of topics related to enhancing judicial and legal cooperation, including an initiative to establish an electronic platform for the exchange of judicial notices and legal assistance, presented by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Furthermore, the discussions covered the draft of the unified rules for combating information technology crimes in the GCC countries, as well as the results of the meeting of the committee of directors and heads of judicial and legal training centres and institutes within the GCC states. — ONA
