HM receives message from Kazakh President on boosting Bilateral Cooperation

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a message from President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning the enhancement of cooperation and investment between the two countries across various fields.

The message was received on His Majesty’s behalf by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, during a meeting today with Roman Sklyar, Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan.

The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation and partnership and explored ways to develop them across economic, investment and commercial sectors. Both sides affirmed the importance of diversifying partnership and opening new horizons for mutual benefit.

The meeting was attended by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA); Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador‑at‑Large at the Foreign Ministry; and Yarub bin Abdullah al Yarubi, Secretary‑General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs.

The meeting was attended from the Kazakh side by Nurlan Zhakupov, CEO of Kazakh Sovereign Wealth Fund (Samruk-Kazyna) and Aidarbek Toumatov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate of Oman.
