His Majesty receives credentials of 12 ambassadors

Muscat:  His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received at Al Barakah Palace this morning the credentials of a number of ambassadors of sisterly and friendly countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

The ambassadors who presented their credentials to His Majesty are:

Ahmed Mahmoud Al Rouhi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine, accredited by President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Majdi Ramadan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lebanese Republic, accredited by President General Joseph Aoun.

Wijesinghe de Alwis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, accredited by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Noor Al Ain Jabira Baja, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines, accredited by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Adam Bagoudou Zakari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Benin, accredited by President Patrice Talon.

Ricardo Silva Santisteban Benza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru, accredited by President José Javier.

Saimir Bala, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania, accredited by President Bajram Begaj.

José Aguirre Ávila, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Paraguay, accredited by President Santiago Peña.

Mohamed S. Barrie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sierra Leone, accredited by President Julius Maada Bio.

Professor Mukhtar Khidr Abdu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, accredited by President Taye Atske Selassie.

Romend Sarsiero, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Malta, accredited by President Myriam Spiteri Debono.

Isaac Biruma Ssebbiolime, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda, accredited by President Yoweri Museveni.

During their meeting with His Majesty, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their countries’ leaders and their best wishes of continued progress and prosperity to His Majesty. They expressed their appreciation for the honour of presenting their credentials, affirming their keenness to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation between their countries and the Sultanate of Oman across various fields, in a manner that serves mutual aspirations and common interests.

His Majesty welcomed the ambassadors and expressed his appreciation for the greetings and good wishes conveyed by their leaders. He affirmed that they would receive the support and cooperation of His Majesty, the Government and the people of Oman to facilitate the performance of their duties.

The credential ceremony was attended by Sayyid Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Chief of Royal Protocol and the two military aides-de-camp to His Majesty.
