MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam. The message deals with the cordial relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The message was handed over to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, when he received Dato Erywan, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, who is on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, which was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, the two sides reviewed the friendship relations between the two countries.
They emphasised a shared commitment to enhancing existing cooperation across various fields to serve mutual interests, particularly in economic and commercial domains. The focus was also on developing partnerships in the field of renewable energy, tourism projects and infrastructure sectors such as transportation, in addition to deepening cultural and civilisational communication between the two peoples.
They also exchanged viewpoints on a number of issues and regional developments in both the Asean region and the Middle East, in addition to the developments on the international arena. - ONA
