The initiatives, which commence on Sunday, target industry, tourism, agriculture, logistics and mining; and form part of the Chamber’s strategy to improve the business environment, expand economic diversification and support development across the governorates in line with Oman Vision 2040.

Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), said the initiative reflects the Chamber’s role in empowering the private sector as a central partner in sustainable economic development, emphasising that investment in human capital remains critical to improving competitiveness and operational efficiency.

Zakaria bin Abdullah al Saadi, Chief Executive Officer of OCCI, said the programmes aim to enhance the capabilities of business owners and employees by delivering high-quality training that supports national development goals and prepares enterprises for future challenges.

Each programme targets specific sectors and regions. The industrial track focuses on improving production efficiency, technology adoption and export strategies, while the tourism programme promotes sustainable and heritage-based initiatives alongside digital marketing skills. The agriculture programme supports resource efficiency and sustainable farming practices; and the logistics track aims to optimise supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.

The mining programme, meanwhile, focuses on project management, operational efficiency and adherence to environmental and safety standards, reinforcing sustainable practices within the sector.

The rollout underscores OCCI’s continued efforts to build a more competitive private sector, capable of driving economic diversification and supporting long-term growth. — ONA
