Under the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Dr Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, will patronise the closing ceremony of His Majesty Cup Festival 2026 camel racing in the Wilayat of Barka on Thursday.


The five days of competition features 85 races with 23 icons and 27 cars as prizes from March 29 to April 2.


Organising with the support of the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Camel Corps (RCC), in collaboration with Oman Camel Racing Federation (OCRF).


On Wednesday, the fourth day of competitions, ‘Al Hurra’ owned by Said al Wahaibi clinched the top honours by recording the fastest time and first car of the Thanaya category at 12 minutes 54.70 seconds, while ‘Tanbeeh’ owned by Al Hamdi al Duraie secured the second car, and ‘Mughamir’ owned by Issa al Touqi claimed the third car.


'Bainouna’ owned by Humaid al Amri secured the top honours and first car of the Al Hawl category by recording the fastest time at 12 minutes 54.88 seconds, while ‘Ghaziya’ owned by Mohammed al Malki claimed the second car, and ‘Mulfet’ owned by Ghadeer al Rashdi secured the third car.

The morning competitions included four races for the Thanaya and Al Hawl categories over a distance of 8 km, offering cash prizes. In addition to four races for the traditional race (human rider) over 2 km, with prizes including a car, and cash for the top ten.
