MUSCAT: At the behest of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said will preside over the Annual Royal Cavalry Race, which will be held at Al Rahba Racetrack in the Wilayat of Barka on Wednesday.


The event is organised by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Cavalry. The event comprises five races, the most prominent of which is the fifth race, where jockeys will compete for the honour of winning His Majesty the Sultan's Cup.


The event will also include various equestrian displays performed by the riders of the Royal Cavalry, accompanied by a selection of musical pieces. Additionally, groups of citizens will participate by performing traditional Omani arts associated with horsemanship. — ONA
