Muscat: The Diwan of the Royal Court on Sunday announced the launch of four major awards in the name of His Majesty the Sultan.
The names are His Majesty the Sultan's Cultural and Social Award; His Majesty the Sultan's Award for Scientific Research and Innovation; His Majesty the Sultan's Award for Economy, Business and Digital Excellence, and His Majesty the Sultan's Award for Governorate Development.
Each award will cover the various fields as per the above-mentioned list.
In contrast, the regional and international awards will remain as they are for their role in consolidating the position of the Sultanate of Oman in international forums.
The value of each award is as follows:
HM the Sultan’s Cultural and Social Award - RO625,000
HM the Sultan’s Scientific Research and Innovation Award - RO123,000
HM the Sultan’s Economy, Business, and Digital Excellence Award - RO445,000
HM the Sultan’s Governorate Development Award - RO1, 070,000
