Muscat: The Ministry of Health has issued a public advisory urging citizens and residents to avoid using water from wadis and stagnant pools during the current unstable weather conditions.

The ministry highlighted that water found in wadis and accumulated in low-lying areas is not clean rainwater, but is often contaminated with pollutants such as fuel residues, sewage water and agricultural runoff.

It stressed that such water poses serious health risks and should not be used for drinking, cooking or any other domestic purposes.
