The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has warned promoters on social media platforms and electronic websites marketing and promoting products that have not obtained a Certificate of Conformity or have not undergone regulatory inspection by the competent authority.

This poses risks to public health and safety and constitutes a violation of Clause (13) of Article (9) of the Regulation Governing the Practice of Marketing and Promotion on Electronic Websites and Social Media Platforms, issued under Ministerial Decision No. 619/2022.

MOCIIP has called for strict compliance with the provisions of the aforementioned Regulation and refraining from marketing or promoting unapproved or unregulated products, affirming that legal action will be taken against violators.
