MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, celebrated the Al Isra'a Wal Miraj Anniversary.
The ceremony draws inspiration from the event's faith-based, spiritual, and educational dimensions and the profound implications it holds for entrenching faith, reinforcing values of patience and steadfastness.
The ceremony was held on Monday at the theatre of the Ministry of Information under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmed bin Saud al Siyabi, Secretary-General of the Office of the Sultanate of Oman’s Grand Mufti. It featured a film titled "The Journey of Light and the Ascension of the Message." The film presented a contemporary narrative style with artistic and visual treatment, embodying the event's grandeur and its stature in the Prophetic biography, and highlighted the timeless faith-based meanings and human values it encompasses, whose effects are reflected in the reality of the nation.
The ceremony, organised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, falls within the framework of its commitment to commemorating religious occasions in an institutional manner that combines authenticity and renewal, contributing to the enhancement of religious awareness, the consolidation of faith-based values, and connecting generations with the biography of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) and the timeless lessons it carries, valid for all times and places. — ONA
