Seeb, Sur, Al Nahda and Sohar advance to Jetour Cup semifinals

MUSCAT: The 2025–26 Jetour Cup concluded its group stage with high intensity and excitement across both groups, as the final round of matches determined the four clubs advancing to the semifinals.


Seeb Club imposed their dominance by finishing first in Group 1 with 13 points, while Sur secured second place with 12 points, sending both teams into the semifinals. The rest of the standings were as follows: Al Nasr in third with 9 points, Oman Club fourth with 8 points, followed by Samayil and Bahla with 5 points each and Dhofar in seventh place with 4 points.


In the final round of matches, Sur defeated Samayil 2–0 at Sur Sports Complex, with goals from Thuwaini al Mukhaini and Abdulrahman al Mukhaini. Seeb continued their strong campaign with a 2–1 victory over Dhofar at Al Saadah Sports Complex, thanks to goals from Mohammed al Musallami and Abdulaziz al Maqbali, while Munther Abu Amarah scored for Dhofar. The group concluded with a 1–1 draw between Al Nasr and Oman, with Jassim al Tobi scoring for Al Nasr and Al Baraa al Maawali equalising for Oman.

AL NAHDA LEAD, SOHAR SECOND


In Group 2, Al Nahda continued their impressive performances to top the group with 12 points, while Sohar followed in second place with 11 points, ensuring both clubs a place in the semifinals. Ibri finished third with 10 points, Al Rustaq fourth with 7 points, Al Shabab fifth with the same tally, Al Khabourah sixth with 5 points and Saham in seventh with 4 points.


Al Nahda clinched a big 5–2 win over Sohar, with Pierre Jean Marie scoring twice and additional goals coming from Hamad al Habsi, Azzan al Tamtami and Abdulrahman al Ghassani. Sohar’s goals were scored by Khalid al Mujaini and Abdullah al Balushi.


Meanwhile, Al Shabab and Saham drew 2–2 at Sohar Sports Complex, with Saham’s goals scored by Suleiman al Maamari and Abdullah al Abdulsalam, while Mohammed al Ghafri and Badr al Alawi netted for Al Shabab. Al Khabourah also recorded a 2–1 victory over Al Rustaq at Al Rustaq Sports Complex, with goals from Said al Abdulsalam and Salim al Abdulsalam, while Omar al Habeiter scored for Al Rustaq.


SEMIFINAL SHOWDOWNS


The group stage results have set up two high-profile semifinal clashes. Seeb, leaders of Group 1, will face Sohar, the runner-up of Group 2, on November 28 at Seeb Sports Stadium.


In the second semifinal, Group 1 second-placed Sur will take on Al Nahda, toppers of Group 2, on November 29 at Al Buraimi Sports Complex.


According to tournament regulations, any semifinal match ending in a draw will go directly to penalty shootouts to determine the winner. The victorious teams will advance to the final, which will be played as a single decisive match.
