MUSCAT: Al Nasr secured an important victory over their rival Sur with a 3–0 win in the match held at Al Saada Sports Complex, as part of the third-round fixtures of Group A in the 2025/2026 Jetour Cup.

The game was exciting from the very start, with both sides exchanging direct attacks before play gradually shifted to the midfield, with no real threats on goal. In the 19th minute, Sur almost broke the deadlock through a counterattack led by Mohammed al Owaisi, whose powerful strike went just over Al Nasr goalkeeper Ibrahim al Rajhi’s crossbar. Al Nasr replied with several attempts, the most notable in the 35th minute when Abdelhafeedh Hadid received a precise pass from foreign professional Abdelfadel Swanon inside the box, but his shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Ahmed al Araimi. The 38th minute brought the breakthrough for Al Nasr after a defensive mistake by Sur in clearing the ball, which Abdullah al Musharrafi seized upon, striking directly into the net. Al Nasr kept the momentum, and Al Musharrafi doubled his tally in the 43rd minute after finishing off a perfect pass from Hussein al Shahri. In first half stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty to Al Nasr after Hussein al Shahri was fouled inside the area. Al Musharrafi converted successfully, completing his hat trick and sending his team into halftime with a commanding 3–0 lead.

The second half followed the same rhythm as the first, with both sides exchanging attacks. Sur showed relative improvement and pushed hard to reduce the deficit with repeated efforts, but their players lacked focus in the final touch. On the other hand, Al Nasr missed clear chances to extend their lead but eventually managed to maintain the advantage until the final whistle, earning three valuable points with a deserved 3–0 victory.

OMAN CLUB EDGE BAHLA 4–3 in THRILLING CLASH

In another thrilling Group A encounter of the Jetour Cup, Oman Club managed to overcome Bahla in a dramatic 4–3 win at Nizwa Sports Complex.

The match began with Oman Club dominating possession and tempo from the early minutes. Walid al Musallami struck the opening goal in the second minute, giving his side a strong psychological boost. But Oman Club quickly regained the lead as Yazid al Rawahi scored the second goal in the 25th minute, ending the first half with Oman leading 2–1.

However, Oman Club refused to give in and kept pressing forward, with Walid al Musallami equalising again in the 62nd minute.
