Sohar and Al Khabourah played out a 1–1 draw in their encounter at the Sohar Sports Complex as part of Matchday 6 of the Jindal Football League, in a game filled with intensity and drama until the final whistle.

The match was largely balanced between both sides, with the first half ending goalless despite multiple attacking attempts. Sohar held a slight edge in possession and creativity through the movements of Amir Alaa, Mouayyad Masi, and Ammar Mohammed, but Al Khabourah’s defence, led by goalkeeper Omar al Matroushi, stayed organised and successfully closed down spaces.

On the other hand, Al Khabourah relied on quick counter-attacks through Issa al Housni, Salem Habib, and their foreign striker Collin Anthony Anderson, who acted as a key pivot in attack. Sohar came close in the 12th minute through Abdullah al Balushi, while Al Khabourah nearly scored from a set piece taken by John Paul Rashford in the 15th minute.

The second half saw a noticeable rise in tempo as both sides pushed forward in search of a decisive goal. Sohar missed two clear chances through Dwayne Carl Moukett in the 66th minute and Amir Alaa in the 71st, before Al Khabourah took the lead in the 78th minute when Saeed Obaid headed home a cross from a corner kick past goalkeeper Majid al Ajmi.

In the dying minutes, Sohar piled on the pressure with the support of their home crowd and substitute Mohammed al Buraiki finally equalised in the 88th minute with a powerful strike inside the box that Al Matroushi couldn’t stop.

The game ended level, earning both teams a valuable point. Sohar moved up to 10 points in third place, while Al Khabourah reached 6 points in ninth.

SEEB SHINE

In another match held at the Nizwa Sports Complex, Seeb earned a deserved 2–0 victory over Samayil after a disciplined and dominant attacking display.

Seeb opened the scoring through Omar al Maliki, who met a precise cross from Nanga Mamadou Soro inside the penalty area and slotted it home with his left foot. The in-form Nanga Mamadou Soro then doubled the lead with a fine finish, securing the win for his side.

With this result, Seeb climbed to 13 points, level with leaders Al Nahda but second on goal difference, while Samayil remained on 6 points in 10th place.
