MoL intensifies inspection on private establishments

Muscat: The Ministry of Labour's General Directorate of Labour Welfare, in collaboration with the Joint Inspection Team in Muscat and the Safety and Security Establishment, managed to arrest 1,366 violators and deport 919 workers as of June 2024.


These actions were part of inspection campaigns conducted by the Joint Inspection Team at the Directorate.


The ministry is intensifying inspection efforts on private sector establishments across all governorates of Oman to regulate the labour market in line with Oman Vision 2040.


In the first half of 2024, nearly 9,042 workers were apprehended, and 7,612 workers were deported.
