Two children drown in Ibri amid heavy rains in Oman

Muscat: Tragedy struck in the Wilayat of Ibri as two children lost their lives after drowning in water pools formed following heavy rains that have been lashing over northern governorates of Oman since Thursday morning.


According to a statement from the Civil Defence and Ambulance (CDAA), rescue teams responded to a distress call regarding the drowning incident. The incident occurred in the Al Rayba area of the Wilayat of Ibri, where the children drowned in water pools formed after rainfall.


The CDAA issued a reminder to parents, urging them to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of their children, especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
