MUSCAT: Several commanders on Sunder viewed the progress of the naval drill “Sea Lion 1/2024”. The drill was viewed by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Maj Gen Matar bin Salim al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) and Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO).



The commanders were briefed on the drill and means of implementing it in a bid to achieve the desired objectives. They also viewed a live shooting at simulated naval targets.


The demonstration showcased high levels of preparedness and efficiency of the RNO personnel.


Further, “Sea Lion 1/2024” is conducted by the RNO with the support of RAO, the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). The drill will run till February 29. - ONA
