Khasab: The Coast Guard Police at the police command of Musandam Governorate arrested 16 Asians at the sea while transporting cattle smuggled from an Asian country. They were attempting to transfer 830 smuggled livestock from boats to two wooden ships with the aim of smuggling them to another country.
The defendants were handed over to the customs department in Musandam for the completion of legal procedures.
