Citizen held for drug possession in Musandam Governorate

MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), represented by Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command, arrested a person of an Asian nationality who is wanted in his country for murder.


Legal procedures against the defendant are under way.


The move is part of continued cooperation between ROP and the Interpol.


As part of its efforts to combat drug crimes, Musandam Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen for possessing 20 kg of hashish and 1,900 captagon tablets in addition to crystal meth in connivance with an international drug cartel.


North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen on charges of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking. The police recovered 17 kg of hashish from the accused.
