Muscat: The Directorate General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate issued a statement on the incident of a student who fell down from a running school bus.
“In response to what is being circulated on social media about the incident of a student falling from one of the school buses belonging to one of the schools under the Directorate of Education, we would like to clarify that the incident is being investigated and the student’s health condition is stable."
The Directorate is taking measures in cooperation with the relevant authorities concerned to ensure that such incidents are not repeated and called on school bus drivers to ensure the safety of students.
The video went viral on social media and once again raised concerns over the safety of the school transportation system in the country.
