Konya: Oman national shooting team completed their participation in trap and skeet competitions held during August 10 to 16 at the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games at Konya, Turkey, on Tuesday.


Oman completed mixed trap competition on Friday and finished ninth.


In the mixed competitions (men and women), Oman hit 128 targets out of 150.


In the skeet individual category, Omani shooter Naghmoush al Hatali qualified to the semifinals and ended fifth in the competition.


In mixed skeet competition, Oman claimed the fifth place after hitting 136 targets out of 150 on Tuesday.



Oman team includes men shooters Salim bin Salem al Nasiri, Abdullah bin Saif al Mandhari, Hussein bin Rashid al Shahoumi, Naghmoush bin Adnan al Hatali, Mohammed bin Hamad al Gharbi and Yasser bin Salem al Nasiri. Omani women shooters are Fatima bint Abdullah al Sulaimiyah, Reem bint Juma al Hosniyah and Fakhriya bint Khamis al Jahafiyah.


Other delegates include Mohammed bin Suleiman al Hatali as administrator, Saud bin Salem al Abadi as


skateboard trainer, and Marco Conti as shotgun trainer.


The Islamic Solidarity Games is being held in Konya from August 5 to 18 with 5,000 athletes representing 55 Islamic countries taking part in 24 events.
