Galfar gets RO9 mln contract for Batinah Highway repairs

Muscat: Galfar Engineering and Contracting has received a contract to repair the Al Batinah Highway, which was badly affected by the recent cyclone Shaheen that hit the Sultanate of Oman.


"We are pleased to inform that the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has awarded to Galfar the main works' contract for road reinstatement works and repair of damages caused by Tropical Cyclone Shaheen at Al Batinah Highway. The value of this project is approximately RO9 million with an execution period of 16 months, including the mobilization period," the company statement said.


The award of this project comes within the national efforts aimed at handling the impacts of Tropical Cyclone Shaheen on the main al Batinah Road, the statement said.
