Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has warned of possible thunderstorms, strong downdraft winds and hail in parts of Oman on Sunday, October 25.

According to the latest weather forecast, cumulonimbus clouds are expected to develop over parts of Musandam Governorate, the Al Hajar Mountains and surrounding areas, bringing scattered thunderstorms, strong winds and possible hail.

The authority also warned of potential flash floods in wadis and low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, local cloud formations have already begun developing along the Al Hajar mountain range, with conditions expected to expand over the coming hours, bringing scattered rainfall that could be accompanied by thunderstorms.

The forecast is based on the Omani numerical weather prediction model, which indicates varying rainfall intensities across the affected areas during the next 24 hours.
