Muscat: Following the decision issued by the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the developments resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic to avoid gatherings at the slaughterhouses, Muscat Municipality adopted an online system to enable individuals to pre-reserve their sacrifices, starting from Wednesday July 14 to Sunday July 18.

Muscat Municipality said that the slaughtering of pre-reserved private livestock, or for butcheries and companies, should be collected in the evening without the presence of individuals.

Individuals willing to receive carcasses can go directly to the slaughterhouse stockyards to make a reservation from 7 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. The carcasses can be collected the next morning.

Local Omani goats and sheep of individuals will be received and numbered in a limited number from Thursday July 15 to Sunday July 18 between 3 pm to 4:30 pm and the carcasses will be collected in the next morning from the slaughterhouses’ refrigerators.

The work in the slaughterhouse of Seeb and Al Amerat will resume for individuals and companies on July 24 in the morning period.
