Iranian consumer goods fair opens in Khasab

KHASAB: Iranian Consumer Goods Exhibition opened in the Wilayat of Khasab on Monday under the auspices of Sayyid Khalifa bin al Murdas al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam. The exhibition is being held at Khasab Hotel. Thirty Iranian companies from various sectors food, building materials and construction, light industry, agriculture and fisheries are participating in the exhibition. Hamed bin Zaman al Raisi, Head of Oman Commerce and Industry Branch, said “The Iranian consumer goods exhibition came after the success of the Omani-Iranian exhibition, which was held last year.”


Al Raisi added that the 5-day exhibition will include bilateral meetings between businessmen from both sides to discuss investment opportunities and joint cooperation for the development and promotion of economic diversification. Khalil Qasemi, Head Director of Trade, Industry and Minerals Organisation of  Hormuzgan province, praised the bilateral relationship between the two countries and the outstanding development of economic partnership between the Governorate of Musandam and the province of Hormuzgan in Iran. — ONA
