Muscat: HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received on Wednesday Dr Mohammad Javad Zarif, Foreign Minister of Iran.
The guest conveyed greetings of President Dr Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran along with best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty the Sultan and the government, and the Omani people further progress and growth.
The meeting reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of supporting them in several fields. The meeting also touched on issues of common concern.
The two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments, as well as the efforts exerted in prevailing security and stability in the region to serve peoples' interests and enhance international cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Ali Najafi, Iranian Ambassador to the Sultanate. --ONA
