The UAE made a strong start to their Gulf Cup 27 campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Yemen on Thursday at King Abdullah Sports City.
Nicolas Gimenez opened the scoring in the 26th minute before Yemen defender Nader Sahel put the ball into his own net in the 36th minute.
Levan Pereira added a third in first-half stoppage time, while Gimenez completed the scoring in the 51st minute.
The result gives the UAE three points in Group B, while Yemen remain without a point.
