The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman in Mumbai has urged Omani citizens arriving in the Republic of India and Omani students studying there to obtain a comprehensive and valid health insurance that covers the costs of treatment and medical care throughout their stay.
This recommendation comes in light of the increasing number of cases requiring medical care and hospital treatment, and the potentially high financial costs, especially in cases requiring intensive care, the Consulate General said.
Accordingly, the Consulate General emphasized the necessity for health insurance to cover treatment in accidents and emergencies, the provision of medications, and medical evacuation when needed.
The Consulate General recommended that Omani students, in particular, ensure they obtain suitable health insurance that covers their stay in India, to ensure their safety and avoid any unexpected financial burdens.
