SALALAH: The second edition of the ‘Empowerment and Excellence’ exhibition, organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), represented by its Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, attracted approximately 79,518 visitors during its run at the Al Gharf project in Dhofar Governorate.

The exhibition, which concluded on Sunday, featured 50 small and medium enterprises showcasing a diverse range of products and services, including perfumes and frankincense, fashion and textiles, Omani hospitality and food products, and traditional crafts and industries.

The closing ceremony featured interactive dialogue sessions, including 'Entrepreneurs Talk' and the 'Role of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Empowerment'. The session addressed sound financial management practices and the importance of separating personal finances from business accounts to ensure accurate calculation of profits.

It also discussed requirements for accessing global markets and the need for entrepreneurs to approach regional challenges with confidence and optimism.

The 'Franchise and Successful Brands Programme' session presented practical experiences and insights into franchising and brand development, helping business owners broaden their horizons, expand their enterprises and develop sustainable business models.

The 'Trader’s Tale' session highlighted success stories and experiences of entrepreneurs, focusing on the challenges they encountered and how they transformed them into opportunities for growth and sustainability.

The exhibition is part of OCCI’s efforts to promote economic activity across Oman’s governorates and create a supportive investment environment that enables SMEs to expand their operations and establish productive partnerships, contributing to the growth and diversification of the national economy. - ONA
