Muscat: Weather conditions are expected to vary across Oman, with dust, scattered thunderstorms and fog forecast to affect different parts of the Sultanate, according to the Oman Meteorology Office (Oman Met) .
Drivers using the Adam–Thumrait Road have been advised to exercise caution as active winds are expected to raise dust and sand, leading to reduced horizontal visibility in some areas.
Meanwhile, convective clouds are likely to develop over parts of the al Hajar Mountains, bringing scattered showers that could be thundery at times. The rainfall may be accompanied by active downdraft winds.
In Dhofar Governorate, low clouds and fog are expected to continue affecting parts of the coastal areas and nearby mountains, with a chance of light drizzle in isolated locations.
The Met Office urged motorists to stay alert while driving in areas affected by dust, rain or fog and to follow the latest weather updates as conditions develop.
