Sports Spark 2026 to Open on July 14 at OCEC

MUSCAT: The fourth edition of Sports Spark 2026 will open on July 14 and continue until August 15 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), offering a comprehensive summer programme that combines sport, entertainment, competition and community engagement in a fully air-conditioned indoor environment.


The event will bring together children, youth, families, athletes and sports enthusiasts through a lively summer experience featuring more than 20 sports and interactive activities, as well as tournaments, competitions and a diverse range of entertainment experiences. The programme further strengthens Sports Spark’s position as one of Oman’s leading summer sports and community events.


Sports Spark aims to create a welcoming space that combines physical activity with family entertainment, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of sporting experiences in a comfortable setting away from the summer heat. Its programme has been designed to appeal to a wide range of ages and interests.


This year’s edition will include several special attractions, including dedicated screens for the semifinals and final of the 2026 Fifa World Cup, allowing visitors to follow the tournament’s defining moments in an engaging shared sporting atmosphere.


The programme will also feature Spark Martial Arts Night, offering a competitive experience for combat-sports enthusiasts, as well as the Muscat Night Run, which will provide participants with a distinctive evening sporting experience. The children’s summer camp will also return with a programme combining sport, learning and entertainment, designed to develop physical and cognitive skills while fostering teamwork during the school holiday.


The event reflects a wider commitment to expanding community-based sports and entertainment experiences by delivering programmes that combine excitement, participation and enjoyment. It also encourages healthier and more active lifestyles while supporting the continued growth of Oman’s sports and entertainment events sector .
