

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has left Oman heading to France on a two-day official visit. The Royal visit comes in response to an invitation extended to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik by President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic.
During the visit, agreements are expected to be signed or projects worth approximately $2.25 billion to be announced in areas including water treatment, environment, transport, space, technology, energy transition and others.
His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Araimi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the French Republic.
