MUSCAT: The visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to the Sultanate of Oman represents a significant milestone in the deep-rooted bilateral relations between the two countries, according to the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association.

Speaking to the Observer, Rudhaina bint Amer al Hajri, President of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association (OBFA) opined that the visit embodies the profound historical ties and enduring fraternal bonds that unite the two brotherly peoples.

“This Royal visit reflects the keenness of both leaderships to build upon their shared achievements and propel relations towards broader horizons of cooperation and integration in various political, economic and cultural fields, in line with the developmental visions of both countries and to strengthen their mutual interests,” she said.

The Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association commended the consolidating foundations of genuine brotherhood, enhancing the joint Gulf Cooperation Council efforts, and supporting all endeavours that contribute to achieving stability, development and prosperity in the region.

Al Hajri emphasised that the Omani-Bahraini relations represent a leading model of fraternal integration, manifested in institutional cooperation, cultural exchange and community initiatives that strengthen ties between the people of both countries.

She noted that the next phase requires intensifying joint programmes, particularly in the cultural, youth and educational fields, to solidify the popular support for these relations and ensure their sustainability across generations. Rudhaina affirmed that relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain will remain a firm model of sincere brotherhood and constructive cooperation.

She stressed the Association's commitment to continuing its role in strengthening cultural and social ties between the two brotherly countries, in line with the aspirations of both leaderships and serving the interests of both peoples.
