AL SEEB: The 'Eid Festival' activities began on Thursday in the Wilayat of Al Seeb, organised by the Office of the Wali of Al Seeb in cooperation with the General Directorate of Muscat Municipality in Al Seeb, along with several government entities and private sector partners.

The festival will continue for three days.

The event, held in morning and evening sessions, comes as part of Eid Al Adha celebrations, aiming to enhance the social and heritage atmosphere associated with this blessed occasion observed across the Sultanate of Oman and the wider Arab and Islamic world.

The festival features a variety of traditional performances.

It also includes cultural and artistic competitions for children on an open stage, as well as a dedicated corner for horseback riding and horsemanship training.

In addition, the event hosts a consumer exhibition for productive families in the wilayat, with participation by small- and medium-enterprise owners, entrepreneurs, and street vendors showcasing a range of food and consumer products.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali al Shihi, Wali of Al Seeb and Chairman of the Organising Committee, said the festival is being held in a central location in the wilayat to reflect the spirit of joy and celebration during Eid Al Adha.

He added that the strong public turnout has encouraged the committee to consider making the event an annual feature during both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, given the high level of engagement from citizens and residents alike. - ONA
