MUSCAT: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has launched the sixth round of its Government Services Satisfaction Survey across Oman’s governorates, with fieldwork set to continue until June 26.
The survey covers services provided to citizens by governors’ offices and other government entities operating at the governorate level, aiming to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
The initiative forms part of NCSI’s mandate to provide reliable data and indicators that support decision-making and enhance public service delivery based on citizens’ feedback.
Mahfoudh bin Salem al Musharfi, Director of the Public Opinion Measurement Department at NCSI, said the survey serves as a key tool for evaluating beneficiary satisfaction and pinpointing priority areas for development.
“The findings will help improve government performance and ensure that services are aligned with citizens’ expectations,” he said.
The survey targets Omani citizens aged 18 and above, with selected participants encouraged to provide accurate and transparent responses.
Al Musharfi stressed that public participation is critical to the survey’s success, noting that citizen feedback provides valuable insights that directly inform policy and service enhancements.
The results are expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to strengthen service quality and responsiveness across the Sultanate of Oman, reinforcing a data-driven approach to public sector development. — ONA
