The Ambassador’s Schoolympic 2026, a flagship sporting initiative of the Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman, concluded on a grand and inspiring note, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, unity, and youthful excellence.

The event witnessed the participation of over 3000 students representing all Indian Schools across the Sultanate, making it one of the largest inter-school sporting events in the region.

The Schoolympic embodies the core objectives of fostering sportsmanship, inclusivity, and healthy competition among students of all age groups. It encourages young minds to step beyond classrooms and discover their potential in the field.

The event was successfully hosted across multiple venues, including Indian School Al Seeb, Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, Indian School Bousher, and Indian School Muscat, ensuring wide accessibility and participation across different regions.

The Ceremony was graced by G. V. Srinivas, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, Abdul Wahid Al Murshadi, CEO of Sohar International, and Yasser Mahdi, regional manager, Oman Air.

The competition saw performances across various disciplines and age categories, highlighting the depth of talent within the Indian schooling community in Oman. A total of 690 medals were awarded to deserving students, recognizing excellence, perseverance, and sporting spirit.

Indian School Muscat emerged as the Overall Champion, while Indian School Bousher secured the Runners-Up position, both demonstrating exceptional consistency and competitive spirit throughout the event.

G. V. Srinivas commended the Board for organizing such a noble initiative, bringing students from all Indian Schools under one unified platform—an achievement of remarkable scale and significance. He lauded the Board for its magnanimous efforts and also expressed his appreciation to the parent fraternity for their understanding and wholehearted support in encouraging their children to participate in this endeavor.

Syed Ahmad Salman said, “The Ambassador’s Schoolympic is a noble initiative that provides a vibrant platform for young talents across the Sultanate to showcase their abilities. This event is not merely about winning or losing, but about participation, discipline, teamwork, and the joy of sport. The enthusiasm displayed by students has made us immensely proud.”

He further added, “This unique initiative reflects our commitment to holistic education, where physical development and character building go hand in hand with academics. The energy and passion witnessed across venues reaffirm that the future of sports within our student community is bright.”
