Indian Schools in Oman have entered into academic and developmental collaborations with institutions in India, including the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (Abu Dhabi), and the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) to enhance student enrichment programmes, leadership development, entrepreneurship orientation, and specialized faculty training.

Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman, Board of Directors (BOD) of Indian Schools Oman, said, "Over a period of two months, 106 structured training sessions were conducted across the entire school system, accounting for more than 23,000 man-hours of professional learning. These programmes directly benefited 5,760 participants, including teachers and academic leaders, focusing on pedagogy, leadership, assessment reforms, well-being, and institutional effectiveness."

He also elaborated on the initiatives taken on Financial Literacy and Artificial Intelligence.

Separate courses on Financial Literacy and Artificial Intelligence with a structured syllabus for students from class V to VIII have successfully been rolled out in the first half of the current academic year in all Indian Schools.

In keeping with emerging global trends, Artificial Intelligence (AI) training for educators has been introduced to enable teachers to integrate technology meaningfully into classroom instruction, assessment, and personalized learning. These initiatives are designed to prepare educators and students alike for the rapidly evolving digital and knowledge-driven economy.

Special emphasis continues to be placed on Care and Special Education, which remains a core focus area of the Indian School system.

Currently, over 350 students are enrolled in Care and Special Education programmes across various schools. Comprehensive facilities, trained special educators, therapy support, and individualized education plans are provided to enhance students’ abilities, independence, and overall well-being.

Indian Schools in Oman actively promote inclusive education, enabling students with special needs to learn alongside their peers in supportive and nurturing environments.

The press conference was attended by Harshendu Shah – vice chairman, Krishnendhu S – Academic Director, and Vinoba MP – Edn advisor to the board.
