SUHAR: The Wilayat of Suhar, Governorate of Al Batinah North, was the venue for the opening of an awareness exhibition for events of the “Food Safety Week 2026”.
The two-day exhibition was organised by the Directorate-General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Batinah North Governorate.
The event was held under the auspices of Shaikh Saud bin Mohammed al Hinai, Wali of Suhar.
The exhibition is the outcome of a partnership among various government departments, including Al Batinah North Municipality, the Directorate-General of Health Services and the Directorate-General of Education. It reflects a model for institutional joint action aimed to promote food safety concepts and protect the health of the community.
The exhibition aims to promote community awareness by disseminating food safety concepts and practices among various segments of society. It seeks to consolidate food safety culture by highlighting the safest ways to consume and preserve food, in addition to activating direct interaction with members of the public.
The exhibition presents successful models and practical applications in the field of food safety, with the prime objective of establishing healthy food consumption habits. - ONA
