Oman participates in the 165th Arab League session

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the 165th regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which was held virtually, on Sunday.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented at the meeting by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs.

The meeting addressed the current situation and the dangerous escalation in the region and its impact on the security, stability, and interests of the region and the world at large. It also discussed the nomination of a secretary-general for the League of Arab States.

The meeting was attended by Abdullah bin Nasser al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Shaikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Foreign Ministry and a number of officials from the foreign ministry.
