Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman condemned the attacks that targeted the United Arab Emirates' embassy in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and what they represent in terms of a clear violation of international diplomatic norms and conventions that guarantee the sanctity of diplomatic missions and the safety of those working in them, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said.

The Sultanate of Oman affirmed its categorical rejection of such acts that undermine the security and safety of diplomatic premises. It emphasized the necessity of respecting the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and ensuring the protection of diplomatic missions at all times, the statement said.
