

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), has issued a high-priority appeal for blood donations to address a critical shortage in the national stockpile.
Authorities have stated that more than 200 donors are needed today to ensure the continuous supply of blood units for emergency cases, surgeries, and patients requiring regular transfusions.The appeal comes as the Sultanate experiences a significant decline in blood unit stocks. Health officials emphasize that community participation is vital to sustaining the national healthcare system and saving lives.
Where and when to donate blood was highlighted by the Central Blood Bank in Baushar, which has maintained flexible hours to accommodate the community:
- Saturday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
