Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MoH) issued a very urgent appeal calling on eligible donors to donate at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher, which is experiencing a critical shortage of O Positive and O Negative blood types.
In its announcement on Monday, the Central Blood Bank urged individuals with these two blood groups to donate immediately, stressing the urgent need to replenish supplies to ensure patients continue to receive lifesaving treatment without interruption.
According to the Department of Blood Banks Services, the Central Blood Bank in Bausher receives donors from Saturday to Thursday between 8 am and 8 pm, and on Fridays from 8 am to 2 pm.
The department encouraged members of the public to contribute to this humanitarian effort and help support patients in emergency cases and those undergoing essential medical procedures.
