Omani-Pakistani joint military exercise concludes

ISLAMABAD: The Omani-Pakistani joint military exercise (Mountain Lynx/2) concluded on Thursday. It was conducted by the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by the Southern Oman Battalion, alongside units of the Pakistani Army, and was held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.


The participants carried out the practical demonstration of the exercise at the training grounds of the Pakistani Army, executing a number of joint military drills in the theatre of operations and a range of field applications in accordance with the established exercise plans. During these, they demonstrated high levels of competence and combat readiness, as well as joint coordination and integration and the precise field execution of joint operation plans.

 

 

These joint exercises come within the framework of the annual training plans of the Royal Army of Oman to raise the level of training competence and readiness of its personnel, as well as to exchange military knowledge with the armed forces of Arab and friendly countries, thereby enhancing military integration and cooperation and achieving the desired training objectives.


The conclusion of the activities of the exercise (Mountain Lynx/2) was attended, on the Omani side, by Brigadier Said bin Rashid al Shukaili, Commander of the 11th Infantry Brigade of the Royal Army of Oman, and, on the Pakistani side, by Brigadier Raja Afzal Ahmed, Commander of the 104th Infantry Brigade of the Pakistani Army. - ONA
