Muscat: The Main Committee for Moon Sighting will meet on Thursday evening, March 19, 2026 in Muscat to investigate the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal for the year 1447 AH. The meeting will be chaired by Dr Mohammed Said al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs.
The Ministry has called upon citizens and residents to look for the crescent moon in cooperation with field teams in the wilayats or by contacting subcommittees at the offices of the Walis.
